Lafayette First Year Frame from PB Kids

2009-01-21-pbkids frame.jpg
This is a new item from PB Kids and we really like the idea. What we're not so keen on is the price... $249.

The linen backdrop is a really nice touch but we could probably do without the smaller wooden frames inside.
A DIY version of this might include a piece of padded linen and pictures stitched or clipped on for a more relaxed look.

It's available here.

What a nice way to display baby's photos: simple and elegant. Easy to duplicate. Lots of scrapbook and craft options for framing the pics inside the larger frame. I use Potterybarn website for inspiration, not shopping. Find them overpriced for the quality in a lot of cases.

I did buy their book Living Rooms, which is excellent because it shows not only their products, but provides inspiration for lots of DIY custom furniture, and gives Benjamin Moore paint colors to match. Very helpful for me!

I was thinking of duplicating this by using a framed corkboard (perhaps covering it in fabric), then pin on small dollar store frames...
