Log Pillows and Bear Bean Bag Chair by Chic Sin Designs

Logs and ~~Tigers~~ and Bears, Oh My! We're suckers for a woodland motif and these accessories - log pillows and a huge bear bean bag chair - struck us as both humorous and sweet.

We definitely did a double-take when we saw this slumbering Grizzly bear in the form of a bean bag chair ($135). It's quite lifelike and we can imagine it not only as a cozy spot for a kid to hunker down with a book, but as the centerpiece of imaginative storytelling and play. The log pillows (small and large, $40 & $69) could similarly be used for decoration and play, especially a few together to sit on as if around a campfire.

If you look closely at the third photo above you'll see that both the log pillows and the bear bean bag chair are a knit fabric, not printed which will make them even softer and cuddlier. These items, sold through Etsy by Chic Sin Design, are shipped from Hong Kong so may take a bit longer than usual to arrive on your doorstep.

Oh my goodness, that bear is so awesome I can hardly stand it. And am I crazy, or is $135 (even with $25 shipping) not a bad price for this cutie? I'm usually a cheapskate, but that seems worth it to me....

Sorry to be a downer but

These are too cheap for handmade products, and I suspect they are going against Etsy's policy and selling mass produced products (there page does not talk at all about who made them). They should be reported to Etsy, if anything.

Very possible--if so, that's a good thing! I had to click around to find it, though, so it may just have been hiding. I take from the above that they do have the knits done by some external source with fancy machinery, but it sounds at least like they designed it and do the rest of the construction themselves. Either way, I'm really crushing on this bear--it may find a home with me soon!

I have this bear, he is sleeping in my son's room. Purchased from ChicSinDesign a month or so ago, I can highly recommend the product. Way Cute. Going back soon for some log pillows...
