Look! Name Flags

042409flags2.jpgChristine from Lavender and Limes sent us this photo of the fabric flags she made. We really like the idea of adding felt letters to the collage of fabrics.

that's really cute! i made my boys' birthday flags in a similar manner. "happy birthday linus, oliver, & miles" is a LOT of letters! it's a really long flag. almost too long. hee!

I also made one that says Happy Birthday. its all the same background with red letters. I also made one for my neice (4) and her little sister who is on the way. They are super cute and can be hung outside too! Its something I will keep forever.

Yes, great idea. I made a 'Baby!' banner for a friend's shower at work doing something similar. I used fusible interfacing type stuff to make the letters from pretty quilting weight fabric I had. I also used random bits of other fabric so that some is fleece I used was leftover from making hats for my nephews, some is flannel I had from making swaddling blankets for my son.
