Look! The Scoop Mobile

2007_12_20_scoop mobile.jpg

Laura of The Scoop made this graphic mobile that we love. Modern and high-contrast to engage young eyes, it's also easy to make.

She used a metal photo hanger from Urban Outfitters, but helpfully points out that you can purchase a similar kit at Giggle ($15). She designed a few of the graphics herself, but also used Zapf Dingbats and Webdings. We're sure you can find some simple clip art to use or even draw something free-hand.

I saw photo mobiles in the "when you care just enough to get a pre-wrapped gift" section in the men's dept @ Target. I think they're $5. Now I have to go back and see if there are any left, because that is flippin' adorable.

What fun to see this project posted on ohdeedoh!

val299 - you are correct, giggle sells the wee gallery flashcards that can be used to create a mobile using the metal frame I referenced in my post. However, I preferred to create custom cards that used colors and patterns that more closely fell in line with my nursery decor.
