Making a Sock Sachet Keepsake

2008-02-29-baby sock sachet.jpg
We love this idea we found in Wondertime Magazine. Those little baby feet won't stay little forever, but you can make one of those cute little socks into a sachet and remember. Here's how...

All you need is 1/4 to 1/2 cup dried lavender flowers (1 cup for $2 at Lavender Fanatic.com), the sock of your choice, tacky glue (optional), and a 12 inch piece of ribbon (more if you want to hang the sachet)

• Fill the sock three-quarters
• Glue the top edges together (or omit glue and simply tie with ribbon)
• Make a loop for hanging if desired

We think these little sachets with new socks would also make exceptionally cute shower favors.

Thanks Wondertime!

I always make these as baby shower favors! I machine sew each bootie shut and then use an old-fashioned diaper pin to pin two together.
