Pretty Little Things from Urban Outfitters

uo-prettylittlethings1.jpgWe love categories many stores give their items as often they are unintentionally funny. This was the case with one store, in particular, which had an entire category devoted to "Whimsical" items which we then realized was their nice way of saying ugly. So we were tickled to find that Urban Outfitters' "Pretty Little Things" category is no misnomer.

Their Printed Glass Birdie Hook features a fun pattern with a lively color combination which will add an element of charm to any room.

Their Bambi Tray is too much! The entire woodland gang in printed on a faux-woodgrain tray ready to do your bidding -- whether it be on a dresser holding knick-knacks, hanging on a wall, or just sitting on a shelf looking pretty.

We think their punch lanterns would be quite lovely hanging in a child's room. Available in turquoise or green, they seem to add an touch of exotic beauty. And if you don't want to hang the lantern, no worries. They also have legs for standing.

What makes all of the items shown here even prettier? The fact they are are each under $15.

i'd caution against letting that little lantern sit out in your child's room. hung out of reach may be fine, but when lit they get VERY hot, quickly. i have one myself and constantly burn myself on it as a clumsy adult.

I'd like to add, as Closertotheocean makes a fine point, that I would recommend not lighting the lanterns at all -- but merely use them as decorative elements.

Ocean, I thought the same thing yesterday. But as Alex points out, these are pretty without candles.
