Sandy Vohr's Animal Zoo

2007_06_04_elephants.jpg Sandy Vohr has been working with leather for over 30 years. She creates heavy leather creatures that can be used as bookends, doorstops, paperweights and decorations. They can even be configured to act as piggy banks.

The animals range from as small as 3" to as large as 10". The menagerie includes frogs, owls, fish, crabs, rhinos, pigs, cows, horses, rabbits and more. There are even a few non-animals like airplanes, hands, hearts and stars.

2007_06_04_polar.jpg Pricing is according to size - a 10" animal is approximately $60. The whole zoo line can be ordered directly from the artist. A smaller selection is available here.

My mother bought a set of elephants for my 2-year-old daughter's room - they make adorable bookends! She gave a set of beautiful dragon bookends to my sister as an engagement gift.
