We recently spotted this nice-looking sheep (above left) online at Moss and we were entranced by the lovely fluffy form of this animal. Looks like fun to play on and around, and a good companion for any child.
But then we saw the price tag. $575?! Hmm, we'd rather buy a new dishwasher.
So we were pleased to later come across another sheep at B. Braithwaite, this time at the more palatable price of $209. Not exactly a steal, but it's a beautiful piece, abstract in form but plenty friendly for a nursery.
Still, though, we weren't willing to part with that kind of money for a wood animal. So it was with relief that we stumbled upon this nice little light from

For $575 you could probably buy a real sheep!
What about Lulu the lamb chair from BabyStyle? She's my favorite:

just checked out the lamb chair PQ suggested. not much more money than the sheep lamp shown here and way way way cuter! they have a really adorable sheep rocker too.
I saw a beautiful stuffed animal sheep in the Easter section of Target today. My daughter and I stopped to give him a hug -- he was so soft and plush! He was about a foot tall and would have been wonderful as an ottoman for a child-sized recliner.
MEP - I was just about to suggest the same sheep from Target! They were only 9.99 and felt nice and wooly. They reminded me of a stuffed animal lamb I had as a kid.
It seems too often that design lovers are being taken advantage of. Then again, there may be those individuals that believe something is well-designed because of it's price tag.
A $575 decorative sheep seems more than a bit outlandish. Even at $209, it still feels like someone's pulling my leg.
