apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Amy Butler Caddys

2009-08-abtoolcaddy.jpg

We knew Amy Butler had ventured into the paper and scrapbooking world, but we just came across these caddys - billed as tool caddys for scrapbooking tools - and thought they would make great diaper caddys.

A diaper caddy is certainly not a necessity, but it can be useful if you'd rather not port your baby back to your changing area for each diaper. In our small apartment we usually bring diapering supplies into our living room for the day (where our infant son spends most of his time) and bring them back to our changing area at bedtime. So having a caddy with a handle and pockets (this one has 8) where we could store diapers, wipes and some cream for easy transport would be great. Besides diapering this seems like a nice little caddy to keep some of your kids' things organized in the car.

As far as we can tell, this caddy (12" x 6.5" x 6.5") only comes in two prints (Lotus Tea Box and Lotus Faded China), but they're both quite pretty. About $20 each.

We have the green one in my daughter's room as a doll/stuffie bed/carrier. I also bought 2 pink ones just because these are so cute and they were on sale!

i received the pink one a christmas gift from a fellow scrapbooker. however, i use it to hold all of my embroidery things, and not scrapbooking supplies/tools.

but, we are hoping for another baby soon, and this is a wonderful idea! perhaps i'll find some other place to store my embroidery things.

thanks for the idea!

I use a scrapbooking caddy like that as a diaper caddy in the living room. Unfortunately, mine is nowhere near as nice-looking as those Amy Butler ones!

I use one of these as a diaper caddy. It's the perfect size to hold diapers and wipes with all the jams and jellies in the side pockets. I bought mine at Michaels and was able to use a 50% off coupon on it.

I picked the pink one up at Michaels a few months back -- in their clearance section!
