We've never been to Biarritz, a French resort town on the Basque coast, but we'll take Kate Spade's word for it that this collection evokes its essence and aesthetic. She also compares the Biarritz collection to a striped boatneck tee - a reference more closely aligned with our own experience and pocketbook.

Compared to one of her handbags, the four items in the Biarritz line are not outrageously expensive - the stroller (in collaboration with MacClaren) for $300, the baby rocker for $120, the carrier for $100 and the diaper bag with changing pad for $225 (okay, the bag is pretty spendy). Each item has classy black and white stripes with red accents typical of Spade's clean lines and preppy feel. You can read more details about the line here.
We're particularly interested to know if anyone has tried the carrier? We appreciate how streamlined it looks compared to all the straps hanging off the Bjorns, but we wonder if it's less comfortable and adjustable. Anyone?
If you put a red rubber nose on your kid, that would be a GREAT set!

I have the Kate Spade carrier and while it looks good, it's not as functional/easy to use as the baby bjorn. I wish I would have stuck with the tried and true.

Am I the only one that thinks Beetlejuice rather than Biarritz?
