The Modern Potty

2005.03.06.pottybench1.jpg

Everybody poops! But not everybody has such a stylish potty bench to help them figure out this whole potty training thing.

2007.03.06.pottybench2.jpgWe like that it organizes everything you need for potty training in one convenient piece, that it has drawers for wipes, toilet paper, and other supplies, and that when the lid is down, it doubles as a convenient bathroom bench so that the kids can reach the sink. The only thing we can't figure out is the orange deflector, which apparently 'guards against injury'. Who knew that potty training was a full contact sport?

What we like best about Boon's potty bench is that when not in use, it isn't automatically recognizable as a potty chair. And at $34.99, we like the price, too.

These people also make a frog tub toy holder (and scooper) that's infinitely cooler than the mesh bag I use. I think they have it at Target.

Wow! I'm gonna have a kid just so I can have that potty in my house!

looks like a great product.

as for the deflector issue, I think the deflector is just to, ahem, deflect the stream. The fact that it's made of soft, flexible rubber is what makes it prevent injuries (so if the kid sits on it or bumps into it it'll just flex instead of hurting them).
