A Shower with Style

Baby showers vary from casual get-togethers to high tea, and this one leans strongly to the latter. It's an elegant shower that also happens to be for women only. We find ourselves vacillating back and forth on which is best, casual or fancy, women or men and women- and probably it really comes down to each individual mom and couple.

The host of this shower, Kate Badger Little, was trying to get away from the traditional view she had of a baby shower in someone's home- "sitting in someone's living room and tissue paper being tossed everywhere."

please people if your hosting a baby shower (or any kind of party) dont have it outside in the south texas summer heat...its just rude! love this idea for a garden party luncheon .... in the spring or fall of course.
