There's nothing we like better than a good tea party. We just love the color palette and spirit of this one hosted by Brooke.
The mismatched chairs make it seem informal and comfortable, the polka-dot runner and multi-colored lanterns add a touch of whismy, and the white hydrangea amidst the platters bring the elegance. The food looks delicious! Via Jordan Ferney.
Love that! Where did you get the lanterns and tea cups?

I just saw this "flotilla of lanterns" idea at Bloomingdales and I love it love it love it. At Bloomies they hung the lanterns on a frame made of very lightweight bamboo...these appear to be strung on wires. Anyone know how to do this?
This cool mom links to her blog tutorial from her nursery tour, but basically it looks like she used dowels to make a frame, then affixed the lanterns with twine and hung from hooks.

Hanging the lanterns is actually a snap, provided you can put up two small hooks in the walls or molding. After doing so, run one continuous string between them three times, then tie them off by wrapping the string several times around the one of the hooks. Then hang the lanterns from them and voila! you are done. The ribbons make it really special-looking. Congrats, BB!
