Not childish. We've heard that at some point, the baby will become a kid and will want to decorate his own space. We definitely want to encourage self-expression, but worry about living in harmony with SpongeBob.

Hopefully Childhood Interiors will keep everyone happy when the time comes. The UK-based online store stocks modern bedding, rugs, wall decor and accessories that are pleasing to child and parents alike.

No neon characters to offend the adults. No beige minimalism to bore the kids.

The Target bedding set (about $90) is a great example. Bold color and graphics in an appealing pattern, the duvet cover is reversible. You also can coordinate with accessories like pillows, rugs and mirrors.

There are many other bed sets to choose from, like this Star Signs bed set above.

Inject a little humor with the irreverant Menace Height Chart. It's laminated so you can write on it, and from what we can tell, measures in centimeters (so U.S. parents can give a lesson in metrics).

Round out the room with these stylish striped ottoman Sitters, available in blue or pink stripe. About $90.

There's alot more to ogle at Childhood Interiors - check out the 'Mixer' tab for some stylish sponges. They will deliver to the U.S. and elsewhere. Contact them for shipping charges.
