We love the look and even more the peace of mind that it instills knowing that next time an impromptu wrestling match occurs in the room, no one will be bashing into a full panel, glass closet door! The vinyl gives the doors a nice reflection while still looking rugged and manly.
After some quick searching, vinyl diamond plating is available from many sources online. Chances are however, you'll need to buy a whole roll, which might be more than you're needing for just one project. You can check ebay for sellers listing shorter quantities, but they'll be more expensive.
There's lots of places you can use your leftover vinyl like the inside of a camp chest or lining shelves, insides of drawers exc. Let your imagination go and make sure to send us pictures when you're done!
Thanks for the inspiration Eve!

I'm loving this idea! My step-sons have a room at my home and it has sort of a car theme going on. My husband came up with the idea to actually hang vintage hub caps all around the top of the walls. Looks pretty cool!
