After we shared the news with you yesterday about Gwyneth Paltrow taking on Madonna's new nursery, most of you chimed in to let us know that Apple's room was, for lack of better words, uninspired and boring. We're big believers in kids being kids and usually their rooms look more like this...
Now while we think we'd be placing safe bets on the idea that Gwyneth has a play room for her children, most people can't fathom a bedroom for a child without some sort of activity going on.
In this space there's beds, toys, hide outs, light, patterns, prints, books... the list goes on and on. Check out a larger version here.
What's your favorite part of this space? Does this feel more like what you wish for your own home? Let us know in the comments below!

I love it! Those elephant curtains are to die for, and oh yea, the kids are pretty cute, too!

Love the low "loft" bed... perfect for a small child. Does anyone know where it's from?

It's not the actual bed pictured but the Kura reversible bed from IKEA works the same way.

saw it in white at the store set up just like that, with a thin mattress below and the bed on top. It isn't quite as nice looking as this one but it was really cute.

It looks like bunk beds without the bottom bed part.
I love the low loft bed and the space it allows without the bed being too high up.
I love the whole feel of the room...airy, light, fun. I might have trouble going to sleep in a room like that if I were a kid...

What I love about this room is that it's a kid's room!

A little cluttered for me (even if everything was put away perfectly in its place)--I'd prefer some more unified/hidden storage so it didn't look like there was quite so much going on--but it's bright and airy, fun and comfortable, and certainly looks like a happier space than Apple's room.

If you click over to the photo on Flickr, the homeowner tells us this about the bed:
"No, not IKEA, bought in ILVA but I think it's called Flexa (made in Finland) - extremely sturdy and flexible!! "

Now these are the kind of rooms that catch my eye on Flickr and AT!! Warm and cheery. It's really the children that breath life to the rooms. We just give them the materials.
