My eyes lit on the title in the book rack _A is for Abigail_. I got that book for another Abby friend of mine, and I must it is an absolute delight!! It is an ABC book featuring great women of American throughout the centuries, of all races. Some of whom I (a history major!) had never heard of!! Beautifully illustrated, simply written. Definitely a treasure for Abby's library.

so wacky -- when i was growing up, i think i met maybe one or two other people that were named abby or abigail. i was bummed that i couldn't find pre-printed stationary, stickers, pencils with my name on it that seemed to be available for all other names. and now, it's popular and i turn around every time someone calls their small child. how odd.
