We've sung the praises of Skip Hop before (here and here for starters) because we love that their products are clever, functional and good looking. Clearly, they have good taste and that shows in their crib bedding sets - one of which we can give to a lucky reader!
The crib bedding is a 5-piece set which includes a comforter, bumper, 2 fitted crib sheets (1 solid, 1 patterned) and a reversible crib skirt (use either side to change up the look). For those who are counting, the thread count is a soft and luxurious 385. The bedding set retails for $220.
AT's own baby mascot, Ursula (daughter of Maxwell and Sara-Kate), has given the bedding a road test and here's what mom has to report:
The Skip Hop set is made from nice, sturdy cotton that, after a few washes, is soft yet substantial. We didn't use the bumper because Ursula has slept bumper-free for sometime now, but the sheets and comforter were great. The mod-dot design turns out to be a morning source of entertainment, with Ursula pointing at the different colored spots and arranging her animals around the design. Dare I say these sheets are educational?! Two questions come up for me. One, is with so many parents now turning toward organic cotton for their babies' clothing and bedding, I wonder if Skip Hop will join the movement toward organics. I also wonder if there could be an option to buy the set without the bumper since these days so many parents have mixed feelings about using a traditional bumper in their baby's cribs.

The American Academy of Pediatrics, Canadian Pediatric Society, Health Canada, National Center for Health and Safety in Child Care, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, Canadian Foundation for Infant Deaths and the First Candle/National SIDS Alliance ALL RECOMMEND BUMPERS NEVER BE USED. Studies have shown bumpers to be responsible for baby deaths in cases of strangulation and suffocation, and it is believed that they are an element in SIDS deaths too.
Manufacturers, please stop including bumpers in sets, stop encouraging their use, and stop giving parents no choice but to pay for a useless and dangerous element of crib bedding.

Much as I bet the wall organizer is extremely useful, I love the Shine lamp in the vine floral pattern. It's adorable. Some designers might have put the pattern all over the shade, but Skip Hop knew that a single line of the vine was much more effective.

Well, first of all i just love skip hop since their ideas and things are very simple and sleek and very unique.
As coming to the question i would love to have the Mod Dot Pocket Wall Organizer, since i can put that in the nursery with baby things in it like lotion, powder, q-tips and most important medication away from the baby out of baby's reach. since i have a baby with acid reflux and give him medication every morning and evening, this wall organizer would workout great.
I love the Mod Dot design because it can be used for a boy or a girl, I just had Boy/Girl Twins. It can be used on anyone's crib.
