Good Question: Fold-up Kitchen

2007-03-12-kitchen.jpg

We recently received this email from NB: Hello there! I am looking for a small pretend kitchen that attaches to the wall and folds up when not in use. Does such a toy exist? If not, any leads on small kitchens would be great. Thanks!

We like this question very much because it's actually a great idea for a toy, and its a topic that's been on our minds lately (see this post from yesterday).

Although nothing that fits the bill completely comes to mind, we did think of this little guy from The Land of Nod (top pic). It includes the stove-top, a pan with lid, utensils (ladle, spatula, slotted spatula and wooden spoon) and spice jars for $35. It's portable and we think you could easily affix it to a wall if you wanted.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Thanks, NB!

How about this one - http://www.the-toy-palace.com/catalog/in-my-kitchen.html

Chicco and Berchet also have pretty compact pretend kitchens.

We bought our 2 year old the blue wooden target kitchen and it is great, we have it in our kitchen so he can "cook" with us. We have a small house, and it is great. The quality is nice and a great price too.

I don't know if you can get this collapse-able one from Momoll stateside, but it would solve your problem.

I originally saw it posted on babygadget.net:
