Liz sent us an email: "Do you know of a toddler-friendly keyboards? My son LOVES to play on Kneebouncers.com and bang on the keys, but manages to do things with the keyboard that make the computer spaz.
To remedy this, we've taken a spare keyboard and popped out all the non-alpha keys for him to use. It works, but I was hoping there was something I could do so that we wouldn't need to swap out the keyboards each time."

Many of us have had a curious toddler in our lap, wanting to work how they see us working on our computers. What can start out as cute, can quickly become nerve-wracking as files begin to disappear in a matter of seconds. We completely empathize, Liz.
We weren't able to find an alternative to unplugging and swapping your keyboards, but we're sure our savvy readers can help. When your son is older, however, you might want to consider purchasing a toddler keyboard.
Kidskey has My First Keyboard, $19.98, a color-coded keyboard with fewer keys than a regular keyboard and Kidzmouse makes the KidzMouse Kidz keyboard, $31.95, which features built-in software that eliminates run-on letters.
Well readers, can you offer Liz any ideas which don't involve swapping out keyboards?

[Windows key] L locks the keyboard (assuming you're running Windows here). This still works for my toddler, although soon I'm expecting him to catch on.
