Recently, after hearing the term on the radio we asked, "What is Sustainable Parenting?" Well, not being one to talk to ourselves (very much) we replied, "We're not sure. That's a good question!" So, we decided to investigate.
According to Real Mama, Inc., "Sustainable parenting approaches child-rearing with an eye toward preservation of the natural environment." Taking its cue from sustainable development, sustainable parenting embraces the ideals of meeting the needs of your children while maintaining the balance of the ecosystem (or at least try to).

I think that's pretty much what we're trying to do. I don't like labels, though, and hadn't heard that one. But it's pretty accurate!
