"I'm pregnant" . Those are some life-changing words. If you're a woman, we're sure you put some thought into how you were going to tell your baby's father. Telling your co-workers- a whole other story. Ana Marie asks,
I'm really stumped about how to tell my co-workers that I'm having a baby. I've already told the boss but don't feel it's necessary to tell others just yet, but I know they know. Any ideas?

One of my coworkers is recently pregnant and the way she went about revealing the news was by just openly talking about it with a close friend she has at the office. She told her close friend and a couple of weeks ago they started having conversations about baby names, strollers, etc. Not in a loud 'notice me' kind of way, just in normal speaking voices. Since we work in a cubicle farm, the information slowly made it's way around the office and when asked, she simply confirmed. I dont' think she did it on purpose, I think she was honestly just having conversations, but that's some food for thought if you work in an open area. Don't announce it, just don't hide it! :)

i've recently 'come out' at my office. i told my bosses a month or two ago and they knew i was keeping it on the down-low for a bit (wasn't ready for the attention and questions). there were obvious clues that i referred to...i made my new eating habits a common joke, doctor's appts, etc...then i finally blurted it out to a co-worker...and it just started to spread. one person overheard, asked me about it in front of others, etc. kinda fun since i'm in the "has she been putting on a lot of weight?" stage...

Just tell the chattiest person in your office.... word will get around on it's own.

Since I work at a place where we have quite some briefings, reviews and other meetings, I sent out a meeting request to all for a meeting on the day the baby was due (6 months later) "to discuss the results of the 'little get together' of my wife and me".
