Lisa is looking for ideas. She writes: Hello - I've been looking for a cute, not-too-expensive, recyclable indoor playhouse for my son. I found this cute barn on the Target web-site, and I figure I could easily customize it with some extra doors and window to make a proper house. I'd also love to know if anyone can provide some instructions/ideas to make their own cardboard playhouse out of old boxes. I'd love to see some photographs of what other people have come up with. (I know with all the creative hand-made kitchens I've seen on ohdeedoh, there MUST be some wonderful hand-made playhouses out there, too!)

I don't know about cardboard houses, but I have seen some very cute playhouses made by draping fabric over card tables. I've seen them on etsy, and it seems like something you could make on your own.

There's this one at Toys R Us you can color in yourself. It's significantly cheaper than the barn. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2267540&CAWELAID=63418746 There are more similar at this site too http://www.playhouses.com/indoor-playhouses/cardboard-playhouses/3204 4295036208 4295036211.cfm

I don't have instructions on how he did this, but my dad built a huge cardboard spaceship for my nephews: http://ramblingrenovators.blogspot.com/2008/12/holiday-memories.html
