Good Questions: Modern Cribs on a Budget in Canada

sweetpea111308.jpgFareesa sent us an email: I loove the modern Sweet Pea crib. I've been looking for a modern crib for the nursery that I am TRYING to make before my first baby is born. All the modern looking cribs available in Canada are completely out of my budget - I'm in Montreal and really need your help!

There is an Ikea in Montreal -- what about the good ol' Gulliver crib capped off with a dresser like the Mandal or Malm series?

Fareesa, Not sure what your budget is but I have two recommendations that are modern and eco-friendly. I can make arrangements with both of these manufacturers to ship to Canada.

The Loom Crib by Nurseryworks - Has a great dark wood finish - $750

The Spot On Square Hiya Crib with Birch End Panels - $675

Oh and I almost forgot: The Netto Cub 2.0 should hit stores this/next week. Not sure if there is a netto retailer in montreal... but there is 2 in Toronto if you wanted to roadtrip! (call ahead!)

Walmart sells almost the same crib online for about $330 American $. It's called the Modena 3 in 1 crib. I can't vouch for the quality but it's certainly the look you are looking for. There is a Walmart in Montreal so perhaps they can ship it to that store.

The IKEA Gulliver crib is great, $110 in Canada, and has held up really well for my nephews!
