Good Questions: Portable Crib

2007-03-25-portable.jpg

Kate's email reads: The portable crib highlighted on Thursday looks great, but are there any alternatives that are more reasonably priced?

We have a 16 month old nephew coming for a visit. He's at that age where he can get into a lot of trouble in less than a minute. We are looking for something to either store at our house or for the parents to bring with them. Thank-you for the help!

There are many portable options on the market, but many didn't look comfortable to us, especially not for a 16 month old.

This portable option by Delta is a smaller version of a conventional crib and comes complete with a mattress, making it seemingly more comfortable. It's made of hardwood and folds up small so you can tuck it into a closet when your nephew leaves. The crib sits on casters allowing you to move it from room to room. It can be used for babies up to 40 lbs and is available here and elsewhere for a reasonable $119.

Any other suggestions for Kate?

(Thanks, Kate!)
