Good Questions: Rococo Wallpaper Meets Waldorf Play Area?

designersguild012109.jpgIsabel is looking for adviceHello! I'm redecorationg the living room and need advice: I want to marry Designers Guild wallpaper very rococo style with a waldorf-inspired playroom area. Do you think this is possible? Please help, I don't know if this is going to be a big mess, but I like this wallpaper, and love playstands and natural wood toys for my toddler! Any hints?

Hi Isabel - I love that wallpaper too! Check out Tonic Home at http://tonichome.com/ for some furniture ideas. They also have a great Oly light fixture on sale that would look great. Also, Etsy is always a good source for fun artwork. Good luck!

Are you using that wallpaper, or inspired by that wallpaper? There are some elegant and ornate patterned papers with playful/unexpected elements at Flavor Paper (http://www.flavorleague.com/) - if that's the sort of thing you're looking for.

I'm using that wallpaper, in brown/grey/golden color, mixed with white modern furniture...It'salready done :) I0ve painted in a neutral-stone-grey color, and papered only one wall. Have bought 2 side tables at Ikea and yet to get the new sofa... I got the new curtains, in transparent moka-golden and as I have used a piece left as a canopy for the Waldorf playstand... amazing!!!this little thing has integrated the whole living room! As soon as I got the whole living room settled I'll send pictures!
