Good Questions: Wall Color for this Room?

colorq020909.jpgNandini sent in a question for the crowd: I wanted peoples opinions on the wall color choice for this room. At the left are crib bedding and toddler bedding, at the right are curtains for the room. Am leaning towards yellow as the paint choice, but an interested in any other suggestions as well. Thanks!

I always like yellow for a nursery. A mossy green could be nice as well. I love the elephants on the bedding!

I would also go with a soft yellow that is a nice light compliment to the deeper yellow accents. It's warm and usually stays truer to the original color that you selected on day one. Greens, for some reason, tend to fade and turn into stranger yellower versions of their original color. It also tends to make a room feel not only brighter, but bigger, too.

Alternatively, if you have a separate toy/game room and want your child to remain sleepy in their bedroom, choose a light or medium blue. It tends to calm your baby down and if you are, feeding in that room, it's more relaxing for you, too. :)

Good luck!

I would go with a bagel color. Sherwin Williams has that shade with that name. I think it would grow with the child more easily.
