There's nothing girly or old-fashioned about this cardboard house and matching garage from French company Carton Chic. Made from 100% ecologically produced wood pulp cardboard, it's is a blank slate to let your kid's own decorating sense run wild...

The cardboard house comes in a flat pack and requires no glue to assemble; it can be put away when not in use. A separate pack of accessories can be colored in and cut out (or your kids' own dolls and accessories for a less virtual look).

The matching garage has a swimming pool and a helicopter port on the roof -- which doesn't quite jibe with the company's green message but certainly gives plenty of fodder for your childrens' 21-century imaginations.
