Green Ideas: Get Clean Products from Shaklee

We're total product junkies, and these days it's greener cleaners that always catch our eye. We've heard of Shaklee before, but we haven't taken the plunge yet. What's really appealing to us right now is their money back guarantee that their products will clean better than anything we've tried in the past.

Sometimes green cleaners just don't...well, clean that well. Shaklee has some interesting statistics about how they outperform 12 national brands, including Method Dish Soap and Seventh Generation Dishwashing Liquid, and All Small and Mighty Liquid Laundry Detergents.

We're thinking about trying the Germ Off Disinfecting Wipes, and the Fresh Laundry Liquid Concentrate which doubles as a stain remover and regular detergent.

Anyone have any experience using Shaklee products?

My mother in-law uses everything from this line. I loved the laundry detergent and the all purpose cleaner. I'm going to give those wipes you mentioned a try.

I got the starter kit about six months ago. I really like the laundry detergent and the H2 all-purpose cleaner. The dish washing liquid work well, too. All the products are very concentrated, so one bottle goes a long way.

We use all of the Get Clean products in our house and particularly like the laundry detergent-we use it to wash our clothes and our son's clothes (no more separate detergent). The dishwashing detergent works wonders as well. We have been impressed with all aspects of the Get Clean system and recommend it to anyone.

How do they smell? I know it's trivial, but I got hooked on Mrs. Meyers scents.

A friend told me that the Shaklee bottles do not have ingredients listed, anyone know if that's true for all the products? I wouldn't like not knowing what is in there.....

You can view the ingredients online. I had the same concern. They are not available at retail. Some Shaklee distributors keep stock in their homes and some may send you samples. They smell very clean and good (the handsoap and laundry detergents). The cleaners have very little smell, which I prefer.

I love Mrs. Meyer's Geranium scent and still use that for some things (the counter spray is addictive).
