Green Ideas: How to Recycle Anything

We're into purging excess "stuff" around the house, especially around the springtime, but we're sometimes at a loss for what to do with all the stuff we no longer need. Print out this handy guide from Real Simple, and you'll find you can recycle more than you thought.

For example, a national crayon recycling program will recycle your kids old crayons into new ones. Crocs will recycle your old Crocs into new ones and donate them to underprivileged families. If you're taking all of your CD's out of the jewel cases for smaller storage, you can send those cases away to be recycled too. St. Judes will take your old Christmas cards and kids will use them to make new ones.

It's a little more work on your part to give your stuff a second life, but so much better than filling up the landfills.

Find the complete list, including those things that you just can't recycle, here.

Why use paper to print out a recycling guide, instead of just bookmarking the webpage?
