060209-dollbed2.jpg We ran across this adorable tutorial for a DIY cat bed and thought to ourselves, "That's super awesome... and it would make a great doll bed!" It's a perfect idea to keep in mind, especially with summer garage sales already in full swing! Your $2 table find could be your next diy project! It requires a little paint, some simple sewing and a few scrap pieces of wood. Check out the full details and step by step photos of the process over at Junk Revolution.

What a waste of a good table, my cat sleeps anywhere, at night she sleeps on top of my feet.

When the cat shuns it for that blanket you don't want fur on, that would make a great Cabbage Patch Kid bed!

with a decent sized table and a crib or toddler bed mattress, you could totally do that for a real bed, even. i would have loved that as a kid (and would have thrown a sheet over it to make a fort!).

@Molly h: I agree! Would be such a great toddler/preschool bed and fort.

Brilliant! Too bad, my cat would still want to sleep on my bed.

im totally with 'molly h' and 'farleece' on this one...
i would have killed for a bed that instantly turned into a fort!
and it would have saved lots of clean up time from making them in the living room and prob would have saved my mom a couple of gray hairs also. haha

You could also put a cute canopy on it.

How sweet! I am so tempted to make one for our two pugs. I am just wondering how over chewing up everything the little one is by now...

four-poster bed for kitty! if it won't sleep on it, it's still the cutest furniture in the room.

I would have LOVED that for my dolls, and those American Girls beds cost more than our real (thrifted) beds. Thanks so much! I don't actually have a daughter...yet! But I'm filing this away! Please! More postings on making great accessories for the 18" dolls!
