Does being green make you part of the eco-elite? What happens when you can't afford to eat all organic all the time? How far am I willing to take it? Should I have my children's toys tested to see if they're harmful? These are all questions that Min Sook Lee wasn't afraid to ask and answer in her new documentary, My Toxic Baby...
My Toxic Baby is a documentary about Min Sook Lee's search as a new mom for safe, sane and affordable ways to raise her child in a world embedded with toxic threats. She began the struggle to eliminate unnecessary chemicals and toxins in her home after the birth of her child. She questioned everything, the chemicals which her own body fostered, the pipes in her house, the paint on the walls, the struggle with diapers and Elimination Communication, toys, toiletries and more.
The film premiered Sept. 11 at the Toronto International Film Festival to sold out crowds. We're hoping to see a release of it here in The States sooner rather than later, as we're curious what all of her detective work and aim to find a good middle ground amongst all the green hype, yielded. This is interesting for me too. I am also trying to prevent my child from all toxic threats. I am buying natural kids clothes, and you know what they are not so expensive as everyone is thinking. I love linen items, have you ever heard that linen is not allergic, it creates a good micro climate for your skin. I love linen items from this store: www.linenkids.com

Oh my gosh! I would LOVE to see this. I need to share my frustration. I have been and still am going crazy lead testing everything from toys to our water. Now I am going to check the radon gas levels. I still check healthytoys.org and wish that they made cars - among other things non toxic!!! Why does everything in the world have to be harmful. The thing that companies need to realize is that there is a market out there (and is growing) for non toxic products. Thanks to EWG for their constant research into all the nasty of the world and enlightening us. It's so exhausting... No phtahaltes, no bpa, no lead... I am driving myself and my husband crazy. (Just needed to get that out).
