Personalized Water Bottles by Lima Bean Kids

2009-06-limabean.jpg

It's great to see so many kids using reusable water bottles at the playground and out and about, but (as Tammy pointed out) there are a few popular brands and it's easy for bottles to get mixed up when you're with a group. We're used to swapping spit with our own son, but we've rather not do so with the rest of rugrats at the park. Enter personalized water bottles by Lima Bean Kids so you can keep your germs in the family.

Your kids can choose from sixty designs as well as pick a color and font for their name. The bulk of the designs are aimed at kids, but there are a few that would suit adults, too, including some simple monograms. Each BPA-free bottle costs $24 which is only a few bucks more than we paid for our unpersonalized bottle. Available from Lima Bean Kids.

I wouldn't let my child carry a water bottle with his/her name on it around outside. We were always taught in 'stranger danger' talks at school not to wear necklaces or t-shirts with our name on it. It would be really easy for a stranger to address a child by their name, and for the child to assume they *must* know them. If you want to get different ones in the family, stick to initials or different logos.
