We've seen some enthusiastic cake eaters before, but Sammy well...takes the cake!

We celebrated Sammy's first birthday a few days early by having our good friends and their kids over for a backyard bbq. We decked the yard in blue and orange, Sammy's best colors, with tons of balloons, flowers, blue and orange cookies, and blue lanterns hanging in the tree. Sammy had fun UNTIL his cake came out and then he had the time of his life. We've never seen a kid take to cake like Sam took to his. This resulted in a sugar high to beat all sugar highs but it was worth it. Sam enjoyed spending time with his many wonderful friends and celebrating his birthday with his two biggest admirers, his parents.
