The bottom half of the high chair is reminiscent of the ubiquitous Saarinen Tulip chair, with its solid base and slender stem. But the seat itself looks futuristic, a seamless plastic chair that should be easy to clean with no cracks or crevices into which errant peas can fall. Safety conscious parents should also be assured that the seat has a five-point harness and restraining post for especially wiggly toddlers.
Our favorite feature, however, and one that seems to serve more for entertainment purposes (both for parent and child) is the pedal that makes the seat go up and down on a pneumatic lift. It’s supposed to be for height adjustment, but we can’t imagine a meal that doesn’t involve propelling a child up and down countless times a la rocket ship ride. Which may or may not be what you’re looking for in your child’s high chair.
