We have (and LOVE) the Primo tub. It worked well when our son was born and is still working well for us and he is now 18 months.
The Primo is much larger than typical baby baths, so it lasts until your kids are older (I believe it is intended for use until kids are 2 years old). And we don't have to fill the whole tub with (wasted) water each night.
They sell them at Amazon for around $30. http://www.amazon.com/Primo-340W-PRIMO-EuroBath-Pearl/dp/B000056OV0

I bought a cheap infant tub and an inflatable tub for when we travel and both together cost less than $30 and have done the job just fine. Sure the plastic tubs are huge but you use them for just the first year and then you can store it or give it away.

I think that's kind of nifty for corralling the baby, but to say it's ultimately a money saving product is a little optimistic. Saving a couple gallons of water a week isn't really going to "pay for itself" over and over.
I say use the kitchen sink, since that's the shape this product approximates anyway. And no back strain!

I wouldn't use this for a couple of reasons. Number one, I wouldn't want to bend over to wash an infant in the regular tub. Number two, even if I waited to use it until baby is sitting up unsupported, you would still have to put a non-slip mat down in the tub for them, which would then cause problems with the seal that the dam makes in the tub. Looks like more trouble than it's worth. I agree with the kitchen sink recommendation. I also like the duck tub for older babies.

Yeah, probably not awesome for a baby.
But I want it for my dog!
She hates baths and knows something is up the moment I start filling the tub. The longer I wait for the water to fill up, the more nervous she gets.
Is this for sale?

I don't see where it's an improvement over using a tub that fits in the kitchen sink. We used one until my son was a year as it saved water and your back!

While it might be useful for some and in theory I like it, we washed our son in the kitchen sink for a long time. When we switched to the tub we just didn't use that much water and I put him on a baby bath sponge - big bear shaped sponge we got at BRU. It worked great.

While I do like this for my 19 month old I dont see myself being able to wash and hold an infant. Our son was a big baby and super slippery. But now he might tip it over as he is all over the tub. I would want to know how secure it is before letting him use it in the tub. As for the kitchen sink ours needs replacment and I just dont like the idea of a naked bum in the same place food gets cleaned in.

I had this idea only a month ago. No sooner one thinks this idea - someone already runs off with it. I want a % of the profits for thinking of it... :-)
