I did this when I was pregnant. I didn't use a kit but bought my own supplies at a craft store, the cost was comparable. But I didn't do the boobs and the whole thing, just the belly. Now it hangs on my wall as a planter and most people don't even know what it is.

I think it's kind of indulgent...

I think if you carry a child for 9 months you can be as self indulgent as you want. That moment never returns. What the hell....have some fun.

I don't think I would purchase it, but I think that it's something that many women would love to do. You can easily do it yourself by going to the local craft store and buying the supplies.

i did a body cast in college...it was a study of the female form...and my now husband did the cast for me. we're wanting to do something like this again. it's amazing to see your own shape and form from a different perspective. it reminds you of how amazingly beautiful the female form is.
