Hot or Not? Who Pooped?

063909whopooped.jpgHead over to this website and your kids can learn to identify animals based upon their poop- that's right, their poop. They can even get their very own poop expert certificate.

Who Pooped.org is actually affiliated with the Minnesota Zoo.

There are many things I hope my child is able to achieve . . . a poop expert certificate and an appreciation of fecal matter are not on that list.

Heh. Well, my 4-year-old is already a poop amateur. He may as well go for expert status. ;)

There's no way my daughter would go for this. She's only interested in her own productions.

Very interesting...luckily my son is too young to determine whether this would be hot or not. But, we do live only miles away from the MN Zoo. Definitely an eye catcher.

My son will love this! He is always trying to identify the "scat" we see while in the woods and at the pond. Even though I don't necessarily love this kind of thing, I am glad to see my boys' inquisitive natures. We also look for tracks and other signs of wildlife. Recently I dissected owl pellets with them. Talk about icky! :-)

my 2 year old is still coming to terms with his own, but i could see an older boy thinking it was fun(ny) and interesting. i'm not one to look the other way when it comes to nature...but until we're out of diapers we don't need more time spent on this topic, thanks! :)

As a teacher - this is neat... I read the book "Who Pooped in the Park" to my first graders and they loved it! Its a neat idea and would go well with the book. The book teaches that there is more than one way to see what animals live in a place (like Yellow Stone - in the book) and It teaches about both animal tracks and Poop... The kids were CAPTIVATED!!
