Don't forget the Hemnes daybed from Ikea. It has the added feature of a pull-out trundle and 3 very spacious drawers. We couldn't be happier with ours.

I bought day beds for my two young daughters as their first beds out of their cribs. While I love the look and idea of them, its not easy for them to make their own beds - actually its impossible - so I end up doing it and I curse buying the day beds.
