Homemade Play Kitchen from Fresh Direct Boxes

2009-01-fdkitch.JPG

Our readers have shown time and again that you don't need a degree in woodworking to make a great play kitchen and now reader (and pal!) Joanne proves that you don't even need wood. A little ingenuity, some cardboard boxes and other easily attained items and she's produced a lovely kitchen for her daughter to play in. When her daughter moves on to other toys, she can pass it on or recycle it.

Here are the barebones which gives you an idea of how to put it together.

Other components: white contact paper, knobs, used CD's and a brownie pan (genius!).

As Joanne says, she "ended up with a very happy little girl." This project can definitely be accomplished in a weekend and we hope it inspires someone else to make very happy little girls and boys!

What a great way to be creative! Reminds me of a house my parents made that looked similar to yours when I was a kid. As a child, we have no idea what it's made of, just that we love it!!
