How To: Alphabet Block Photo Display

2009-07-alphablock.jpg

Megan of Plum Pudding has hit another one out of the ballpark with this fabulous alphabet block idea to add class and a bit of whimsy to your fridge display. It's a great use for orphan blocks especially if you have your child's initial.

She's provided a full tutorial on her craft-centered blog, Plum Pudding. Her idea is really versatile too - skip the magnets and use the blocks to display photos on your table. Or how about as placeholders for a kids' party table? Or skip the photos and create your own version of magnetic poetry.

Seriously, does Megan have the best ideas or what? Check out her felt travel boards, nature cans, and embroidered hand prints.

Ooh -- love it! So far my kiddo doesn't give a squat about his letter block set so maybe this will have to be my new craft...thanks!

stlprintchick, I'm with you. I have 3 kids and have had a basket of alphabet blocks for 13 years...NONE of my kiddos ever played with them.

I love this! My son loves his blocks but so does our dog. We have a cheap set that our dog chewed. and the better set is hidden away till our dog gets out of the puppy stages. I thought they were attached to the wall which would also be very cute...first day of school, teacher gifts, love this!
