How To: Hanging Crib Bag

2009-04-crib bag.JPG

There are two ways our son wakes up in the morning - crying or talking to himself playing with a toy in his crib. You can guess which is preferable. We've taken to putting a small toy in his crib when we go to bed for him to find in the morning, but a hanging crib bag, within his reach, might be an even better idea.

A blogging mom at Create Studio made and hung a small bag of toys in her son's crib: The stash would need to be out of sight so it's not a distraction when he's trying to go to sleep, but will be a fun surprise when he wakes up.

She shares here step-by-step photo tutorial to sew a hanging crib bag on Create Studio. If you're not a sewer, but have a small bag or basket already, she also shares instructions of for how to attach it to the crib.

I love this idea! I'm not a sewer but I'm going to check out the instructions as this might be a very useful early morning distraction for my son. Great blog by the way!

If you get one of those baskets with the handle at the top that is divided for holding cleaning supplies....like this...http://www.petworldshop.com/pictures/aquarium-cleaning-caddy.jpg
Fill it with toys and put it over the crib rail. Works perfectly!
