How To: Magnetic Chalkboard

magnetic-chalkboard-2.jpgHere's a fun project just in time for the weekend. We've all seen badly abused mirrors like this one kicking around in junk shops and alleys. Maybe you even have one in the back of a closet. Proving that one man's trash is another (wo)man's treasure, Liz from the fantastic blog Say YES! to Hoboken transformed this sad artifact into a magnetic chalkboard that is as beautiful as it is practical. See the "after" photo after the jump.

magnetic-chalkboard-1.jpgUsing nothing but spray paint, magnetic paint, and chalkboard paint on a $7 thrift store mirror, Liz's total budget for this super-cool project was $35.

For instructions and more photos, read the full post at Say YES! to Hoboken.
