How To: Make a DIY Shoe Rack

2007_07_30_diy_shoe_rack.jpg

Tired of tripping over shoes? Frustrated because the J-Me shoe rack she liked was a few inches too long for her entryway, Megan of Not Martha blog fame took matters (and timber) into her own hands...

Using wood, wood stain and L-brackets, Megan achieved the sleek, off-the-floor look she was going for.

Since children's shoes are considerably smaller than adult's, you would need to make the spaces between the two boards smaller than Megan did. See how she did it on her blog.

love this idea! the entryway of our house is a complete jumble of various shoes belonging to 4 kids and 2 adults--yet no one ever finds a complete pair when it is time to go. I think I'll steal this!
