How To: Make Fall Bunting

Where we live, the leaves don't really do the glorious autumnal thing (unless you consider brown to be glorious), which makes us a little wistful every year. But this fall bunting, as made by Maya at maya*made (try saying that fast five times), cheered us up right away. Inspired by a vintage tree guide, Maya created her own leaf and acorn patterns. Then, armed with newspaper, twine, paint and paste, she whipped up this lovely bunting that takes us right back to second grade (in a good way). We love how the newspaper shows through the paint, lending the shapes a collage-y feel.
