Lindsey over at Filth Wizardry has a 3 year old daughter who has been experimenting pulping a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, when mom wasn't looking. In order to bring order to the chaos, Lindsey set up some simple supplies outside and went to town with her girls making everything from sculptures to paper.

After filling a plastic tub with water, stray rolls of paper towels were added to the mix. Household spatulas worked out great for stirring the mix all together. Next, a collapsible, mesh laundry basket was rescued from the depths of the garage and put to work as a screen to lift the paper pulp out of the water with. After excess water was blotted off, it was turned out onto a sheet to dry. It made one giant sheet of paper!

To appease the quick attention spans of her 3 and 4 year old, Lindsey took some old ikea frames and stapled on tulle, making smaller (allowing the paper to dry quicker) screens for the girls. Old bits of tissue paper were added to the mix (there's a bag of it somewhere in the back of most everyone's closet!) and pretty pastel pink paper was born!

Just in case she wasn't already the hero of the day, for providing this fabulous project for her girls, she even figured out how to eliminate drying time for her paper.
