This idea we spotted at This Vintage Chica has shot to the top of our must-do list. Inspired by the plentiful spiderwebs around her home at this time of year, Eren and her children made simple nail boards that act as frames for their own web-building projects.

Using a few leftover boards and a handful of nails, Eren and her three boys whipped up these nifty frames. (The project originally started out as a toy for her four-year-old, but her older children embraced it as well.) After that, all they needed was cotton string to begin their own experiments in web construction.
Eren makes an excellent point: "I can see these nail boards being put up for a little while and coming back out as snowflake makers in a few months." Great idea!
