How To: Mini Pops

090209-mini-pops-1.jpgThe calendar may say it's September, but the thermometer is telling a different story. We say keep indulging in summer treats as long as you can. To that end, Ericka at the blog Inspiring Mama has a nifty trick for making popsicles that are the perfect size for the tiny-handed among us.

090209-mini-pops-2.jpgEricka uses conventional popsicle molds, but her trick to make smaller 'sicles is to fill the mold up just an inch or so, then wrap tin foil across the top. Slit holes for the popsicle sticks to hold them in place during the freezing process, and voila... mini pops!

For more detailed instructions, plus yummy-sounding recipes for homemade strawberry and pineapple-lemonade pops, be sure to see the original post on at Inspiring Mama.

Great idea! I wonder if you could also use a regular ice cube tray with the foil technique to keep the sticks in place?
