How To: Take Spinning Shots of Your Kids

Get dizzy! We don't spin nearly enough as adults, but childhood is filled with spinning, whirling and twirling, and it can be hard to capture this feeling on film. Spinning photos seem like those impossible shots best left to the professionals, but with some easy instructions, you can give it a try...

Photojojo, our favorite source for photo fun, walks you through it in this tutorial. It's not foolproof and you'll probably have to practice at it, but this sounds like an activity where the process is just as fun as the result.

Check out the Spinners and Saints Flickr group to see other spinning photos with varying degrees of success (all cool in their own way though).

We saw this on Photojojo awhile back and have tried it - with varying results. It's actually a lot harder than it sounds -- especially when you have a 30 pound 10 month old!
