Blogging Cookie: Rachel's Colorful Shreveport Abode

2008-06-27-rachel's bold colors.jpg
This should wake you up on a Friday afternoon. We tend to be partial to white, but for those braver souls, check out painter Rachel Stuart-Haas's very cool and colorful home. She tells Cookie Magazine that she took much of her color inspiration from the Caribbean where the family often vacations.

This painting is one of Rachel's. We love the red and turquoise together.

How's this for a bold color for the nursery? Rachel thinks the green contrasts nicely with son Liam's red hair.

I love everything else, but IMO that green color is waaaay to much for anyone, let alone a sensitive baby.. I don't think I could fall asleep in a room that color!
